2020 is fast approaching. The start of a new decade and a look at what baby names you might expect to see and not see in 2020.
Every year sees a particular trend on new unusual names like Petal, Blossom, Joules, October or Kinley. That trend will continue in 2020 with new additions being added like place names and celebrity names.
Also making a come back are the traditional names like Arthur, Wyatt, Emmett, Eli, Hazel, Evelyn, Lucy or Stella.
Gender Neutral Names
Gender neutral names will also becoming more popular and you may see more of them in 2020. Names like Maxwell, Blake, Billie, Georgie or Taylor.

Popular name of the past
Looking back, this trend started last year in 2018 with some new unusual names appearing for the first time according to The Office Of National Statistics. I can see them continuing to be popular in 2020.
Grayson, Jasper, Rowan, Tobias, Sonny and Dominic entered the top 100 names for boys in 2018; Grayson, Rowan and Tobias have previously never featured in the top 100.
Ada, Delilah, Ayla, Zoe, Margot and Felicity entered the top 100 names for girls in 2018; Ada returned to the top 100 for the first time since 1924.
