We are now 8 weeks pregnant and we’re convinced it’s a girl.
When Angela was pregnant with Little Boss it was completely different – I think we got lucky. No morning sickness, no swollen ankles until the last few weeks and no real cravings or strange behaviour either. Her pregnant bump wasn’t really noticeable until about half way through her pregnancy and although a little tired now and then life went on pretty much as normal.
Not this time! Let me explain.
Princess Sexy Legs Angela have been together for almost 6 years. I can count on one hand the number of times she has eaten a McDonalds or Burger King and even then it would be because I have banged on about how much I NEED one. So on Wednesday when she suddenly announced a NEED for a Burger King meal and an ice cream it was sweet music to my ears – but definitely not normal behaviour.
Other differences to our last pregnancy
- Tired all day and in bed / sleep on the sofa by 10 most nights
- Ankles swelling already at 8 weeks pregnant – we had to go buy “slouchy socks” at the weekend
- A definite visible pregnancy bump already (nothing to do with the Burger King)
- Morning Sickness on Thursday morning (quite possibly to do with the Burger King)

Only a very short one this week – heart still beating strong!
First Midwife Appointment
We have our 1st midwife appointment this week and I think we’ll be asking about a planned C-Section. Although the pregnancy was a breeze with Little Boss (easy for me to say – not sure Angela would agree) the actual birth was a scary old time and after 38hrs of labour it ended with an emergency c-section. Lots of crying and fear – I’ll share the story in another post soon but needless to say I dont think either of us want to go through that again – we’ll see.
